Now, I’m not going to go ahead and declare the west coast is the best coast, but I will say that California has a million different options for elopement destinations, engagement photos, and couples sessions. If you’re looking for a city to capture your love story in, San Diego has so many different locales that fit every type of love story. Here are just a few favorites!

With 68 acres to explore, you know there are some amazing views here, and I can help you find the most epic backdrops for your San Diego engagement photos! You’ll find intricately carved coastal bluffs, arches, and sea caves as well as the most stunning panoramic ocean views. During the right time of year, if you’re lucky, you can see California gray whales.
The long and photogenic Scripps Pier is not open to the public, unfortunately, but the beach on both sides of it is, and the pier makes a great background to your engagement photos in San Diego. Scripps Beach is much quieter than La Jolla Shores just to the south, which gives you nice, intimate photos.
According to SanDiego.org, “Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve, located on the cliffs above Torrey Pines State Beach, is a 1,750 acre reserve dedicated to preserving its namesake, the Torrey Pine tree and other indigenous wildlife in its native environment.” The park offers hiking trails of varying levels, sandstone canyons, and cliffside views of the Pacific Ocean.
If you’re looking for something a little more urban, Balboa Park has a little bit of everything: more than 16 museums, multiple performing arts venues, lovely gardens, trails, and sweeping architecture from Spanish Colonial Revival to mid-century Modern. Depending on what kind of backdrop you’re looking for, I can help you find it at Balboa Park.
Want to take your San Diego engagement photos to a spot dating back to the dinosaurs? I mean, how cool is that? The sea caves take a bit of effort to get to, but the history and scenery are so cool! There are seven, but only one is really reachable by foot, Sunny Jim Cave.
For a different kind of San Diego engagement photo session, Bernardo Winery has been serving the region since 1889. The winery is open Wednesday through Saturday 11-8 and Sunday 11-6. What’s more Californian than a winery?!

In this guide, I’m sharing my favorite tips for planning a Northern Michigan vineyard wedding, especially in the Traverse City area. Whether you’re dreaming of a small, sun-drenched ceremony between the rows or a chic, tented reception overlooking Grand Traverse Bay, these insights will help you create a celebration that looks and feels as unforgettable as it truly is.

Choosing the best wedding photographer in Northern Michigan is about so much more than a pretty portfolio. It’s about trust, connection, artistry, and a shared vision for how your story should be told. In this guide, I’ll walk you through how to thoughtfully choose the photographer who feels like the perfect fit for you, your celebration, and your memories.

There is something quietly magical about a Northern Michigan summer evening—the way the light lingers on the water, the scent of pine drifting through the air, and the sound of glasses clinking under a sailcloth tent. For couples dreaming of an elevated celebration that still feels relaxed and deeply personal, luxury wedding venues in Northern Michigan are a dream come true.

Three weeks until our second baby girl arrives, and if that wasn’t enough of a whirlwind, we also packed up our lives and moved to Northern Michigan two weeks ago. It has been chaotic and beautiful and stretching in all the best ways. What started as a practical decision to be closer to family for help has quickly become the beginning of a brand new chapter for my family and my business. I’m now officially serving Northern Michigan, all of Michigan, and North Carolina for weddings—and I truly cannot wait for this next season.

In the world of luxury destination weddings, North Carolina is quietly—yet confidently—emerging as a sought-after locale for couples who crave intentional elegance over ostentation. With its blend of enchanting private estates, breathtaking natural landscapes, and a spirit of understated sophistication, North Carolina offers a unique charm that rivals the most celebrated wedding destinations in the South. Whether you envision exchanging vows amidst the rolling hills of Pinehurst, the misty peaks of Highlands, the vibrant artistry of Asheville, or the serene shores of the coast, North Carolina is redefining what it means to host a truly bespoke celebration. In this guide, we’ll explore why North Carolina is capturing the hearts of discerning couples and how you can plan a luxury destination wedding that feels both personal and unforgettable.

Every couple dreams of a wedding day that feels effortless, joyful, and filled with beauty at every turn. Behind the scenes, achieving that seamless, serene experience is the result of intentional collaboration between your wedding planner and photographer. As a luxury wedding photographer in North Carolina and beyond, I’ve witnessed firsthand how thoughtful partnerships between vendors—especially planners and photographers—can transform a wedding day into a truly calm and elevated celebration. In this post, we’ll explore the art of wedding planner and photographer collaboration, why it matters, and how it leads to a refined, editorial wedding photography experience that lets couples truly soak in every moment.
